A new step to improve healthcare in Waslala

We’re used to using SMS to figure out weekend plans with friends, however, SMS messages are now improving the quality of life in Waslala.  All thanks to the efforts of Villanova University students and faculty.

The VU group took a recent trip to Waslala in May and collaborated on a brand new project called “Improved Rural Health Care Through Low-cost Telecommunication.” Check out this article from Villanova’s College of Nursing website for more info on the innovative healthcare solutions that VU students are working on:

We at Water for Waslala are excited about not just this new project to improve rural health, but also the ever deepening relationship between the University and the people of Waslala.  Together we can continue to make a huge difference for this region in desperate need.
